Gen 2 tv stand

Hi

does anyone know how I can buy the TV stand that raises the tv off a unit?

my glass tv arrived with a stand but it's just 2 prongs on a flat base.

Re: Gen 2 tv stand

Amazon / eBay are some of your friends - I bought one with a tempered glass base and an adjustable height pillar with a vesa mount. Just make sure the stand is capable of holding your size and weight of TV. There's many to choose from.

Thanks so much 😊

Do you know if the G1 stand fit the G2 tv?

Re: Gen 2 tv stand

The Glass 1 stand holds the tv at a similar height to the Glass 2 stand, so wouldn't achieve the result you're after. Whether or not it fits, I don't know.

No, Gen 1 & Gen 2 stands are different designs.

Unless  you  wall mount  your  gen 2 tv no other  stand will  fit it only the stand that comes with it and the gen 1 stand fits a different  way

Re: Gen 2 tv stand

Not sure you are correct there are plenty VESA table top stands available, if Gen2 takes the standard wall mount then a table top will fit.

so many options on Amazon as mentioned above

The stand on the sky glass  gen  2 tv is a flat plate  with two prongs  you insert  at each end and they go into the bottom  of  the tv if you don't  have it on the stand then you can only wall mount it, it will  not stand up with out the stand that has been made for it

@peter-marlow+1966

VESA-compatible tabletop mounts are widely available in numerous designs.

Having said that, I'm not sure I'd actually trust some of them for the mass and centre of moment of the Sky Glass set...

Re: Gen 2 tv stand

@TimmyBGood , I use one very similar to the middle one in your picture. It's rated for 40kg in weight, much below the 21kg (I think?) of my 55" Glass 2.

It actually seems more stable than the stand supplied with the TV, with the added bonus it will swivel if required.

Re: Gen 2 tv stand

I of course mean above the 21kg of my TV, not below 🫣

Sorry but you are totally wrong. I've worked in the industry for many years and table top stands are a very available product at a fraction of the price Sky quote. I don't own a Gen 2 but if it takes a vesa wall mount then a table top will work, just don't fit the table top supplied with the tv 🤔

Edit: oh I see you acknowledged 😉
