Re: Fast forwarding jumps my back to adverts

Having used Sky Q for many years, I've just taken out Sky Stream and watching the Chinese Grand Prix from the playlist due to the time difference and literally rewinding 30 seconds has triggered an intolerable repeat of the same advert, and then restarted the entire show from the beginning, meaning more adverts triggered. Once finished watching the adverts and fast forwarding to about 1h50m back to where I was, more adverts triggered, then watch from the start again, meaning more adverts. To rewind 30 seconds meant I have now lost nearly 15 minutes of my life that I won’t get back, oh, and I won't ever sign up for or use Workday so that advert is entirely pointless.

This is a very simple fix with the use of a timed threshold where if a customer has just watched the adverts, do not show adverts again for n number of minutes. Sort it out Sky as this is terrible and infuriating customer experience and saying pay £5pm to be able to fast forward adverts is not the fix or the solution for this.

Re: Fast forwarding jumps my back to adverts

I have reported this issue to Sky more than once but of course the customer service people can't do anything about it. It's all the same as everyone else has already said, especially for F1.

Just touching fast forward or rewind launches you back into ads. And when watching on delay or on demand, you frequently get through an ad break and at the end of it you're randomly launched back to the start of the program. If you do risk trying to fast forward or rewind, then when you've got through the inevitable five minutes of ads, you're extremely lucky if you are left anywhere near where you were fast forwarding or rewinding to. I usually have to retry fast forwarding or rewinding about three times before I'm actually left at the point in the program I said to go to, so that's usually about 15 minutes of fighting ads.

This service is an absolute disgrace, and Sky should be having legal issues with how little their product works for how much they charge for it.

Re: Fast forwarding jumps my back to adverts

We have this and a realy annoying similar problem when watching live TV, mainly pay per view events. Without any fast forwarding the event will get to an ad break, play the ads and then jump backwards to the previous ad break and start playing the previously watched part of the event. Annoying when you're trying to watch a live event and paid extra for it! Then half the time if you fast forward it does it again!
