Factory reset bypassing network stage and stuck on updating software

I have had issues since internet service went down and diverted to a very slow connection, since I have been unable to access settings on my sjy glass, si now doing factory reset, but its automatically logged into the wrong wifi connection so stuck on updating software. I need to be able to add the correct wifi back in, but I have no path

Have you tried plugging directly into your router via ethernet cable temporarily to get you up and running
