They were added before the channel change, so I've deleted and re-added. I'll try changing the default to UHD too. At least I know it's possible. Thanks.

I set up a new profile on the Playlist section and populated it with series links from the Sky F1 UHD channel. All recordings are now in UHD

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSame story today, F1 is showing as recorded along with IndyCar yesterday but F2, F3 don't record and are at the mercy of Sky making it available many hours after.
Really puzzling why recording is not available on F2, F3 but whatever the reason Sky must realise it creates a very messy experience for us customers.
Thanks,
Tim

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Tim+Adams I suspect the difference is down to rights. Sky will have got the FIA to allow the quick turnround for F1 in the UK but possible not for F2 and F3. Its loads better than last year but not perfect yet.

It does seem to be better than last year so far hoping when I get home that F1 qualifying is ready to go

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Chrisee I see it is showing in my playlist as "Recorded at ....." So I assume that means it has cloud recorded.
I watched part of the qualifying live and then the rest through my playlist. The only very slight negative was if I missed something in the commentary and I went to rewind a few seconds it tended to jump back a couple of minutes. I can live with that especially as everything else was perfect. Much better experience than last season.

Removed all f1 from my playlist and added them again on the new 406 UHD channel and quali has recorded in UHD, mind you the box is absolutely chugging it's brains out when it plays UHD, you can tell when you try to pause or rewind or view the TV Guide while it's playing. The box is far too underpowered.

I was reluctant to remove and re-add in case it just didn't record at all but I went for it in the end. If you're sceptical about removing it, just create a new profile and add the live f1 from channel 406 and it should record in UHD. It's a joke really as we're paying extra for UHD and there are people not getting what they're paying for. If mine didn't record in UHD it would be a waste of time paying for it as this is the only UHD content I'm bothered about.

F3 sprint appeared almost 12 hours after the event. I wonder if F2 will be the same.

My practice sessions yesterday recorded in UHD but this morning they had reverted to HD which I assume due to them being available on demand by then. Qualifying today recorded in UHD. But I was able to fast forward or rewind it worked once, highly irritating.

Absolutely takes the p***, bearing in mind some people are paying a fiver a month to skip ads! Just watching quail now and trying to fast forward is a joke, by the time you've messed on with it, you might as well have just watched the ads.
