F1 2023

Under "Live: Formula 1" - "On this week" I've got:

Bahrain Practice 1 on Main Event in UHD

Practice 3 on F1 HD

Qualifying on F1 HD

No sign of P2, and no idea why only the first session will be recorded in UHD. If I click on "Other showings" under the P1 UHD session it shows the HD versions, but if I do the same under Qualifying in HD it says "Sorry, there are currently no other showings available."

I've not resubscribed to Sports yet this year, and I'm not going to. It looks like it'll be chaos again and I'm fed up of it.

I would expect listings to be correct come nearer to the time.

Well I would expect them to be correct now, to be frank. What's going to change nearer the time? Will Sky suddenly remember they're supposed to broadcast P2? Or Qualifying is supposed to be in UHD? The F1 calendar has been published for some time now, I would expect Sky to have a copy of it. It's the unreliability of it all that has put me off.

Sky would probably be one of the first told because they carry the World Feed.

I'm only a customer like everyone else, past experience has shown listings 7 days or more need to populate and link and usually they do after time.

If you are concerned / unhappy that it's not showing correctly you can email viewerR@sky.uk and report it.

Has the following listed so far

1) S2023:E1 (Practice One) (Main Event UHD) 3 March 11.00 AM

2) S2023:E2 (Second practice session) Main Event UHD) 3 March 2.45 PM

3) S2023:E3 (Third and Final practice) (F1 HD) 4 March 11.15 AM

 4) S2023:E4 (Qualifying) (F1 HD) 4 March  2.10 PM

In regards to Sorry, there are currently no other showings available

That will change to show other showing available next week before the weekend broadcasts 

Sky EPG is for only 7 days so other showing available  will be listed as the EPG gets updated

As in Saturday March 4th and Sunday March 5th will not be listed yet in the EPG as it 's only Friday February 24th at the moment 

7 days EPG at the moment only covers to Friday March 3 to 11 PM 

Tomorrow Saturday February 25th the EPG will update  to list Saturday March 4th and change per hour in real time

So under 'On this week' I now have the first 7 episodes. The first 2 are in UHD and the rest in HD. I deleted all F1 from my playlist and started again. I added P1 in UHD from the TV listing. When I click on the tile for P1 it shows 'Sky sports main event UHD - series added.' When I click on the tile for the HD episodes it shows ''Sky sports F1 HD - series added.' 
I didn't add the HD F1. I want the UHD. 
How do I know what's going to be recorded? (Please no smart comments about nothing being 'recorded')

The thing is Sky Glass tries to be "Smart" with it's recordings.  When I've cancelled "UHD" all the recordings have reverted to Sky Sports F1 or Main Event, and indeed when I've added UHD previous races now have UHD available.

You kinda don't know what will be "recorded", and IME it would often be initally the HD varient that would be available with the UHD following some times later.  Seemed to jump around Main Event and F1 too.

In my playlist I now have "Live Grand Prix Sunday: Bahrain" in HD (the build-up show) followed by "Live Bahrain F1 Grand Prix" in UHD. Yay! However, looking at the planner, the race broadcast from 2:55pm is only 1hr 5m long, followed immediately by "Live PL: Liverpool v Manchester UTD"at 4pm. Is it a very short race?

Looks like Main Event is only showing the first hour. One of the UHD channels usually mirrors Main Event and another usually has the F1.

So will it record the UHD version for me, regardless of what channel it's on?
