Well I've gone back to virgin we add sky stream and it was rubbish ever time I tried to watch a football game it just kept buffering add the best interest sky could give me and still same in the end we add enuff and sky lost interest all they was bothered about was making money and not solving problems

I watched The India vs England cricket  T20 series up to and including Tuesday last week but on Friday it wouldn't let me nor any of TNT channels 1 to 4 since.

I'm having the same issues and spent 1 hr 49 mins on phone with SkY now February 2025 seems a waste of time and may just cancel my subscription again. I did leave before because of issues that never get sorted

Best thing I did was leave after 15 years loyal service to sky virgin are a lot better also any issues they are on top of them straight away

Hi @Deadrobbo1973 I can't get VM at my location so have no personal knowledge of their service but interestingly Ofcom have them as the Pay TV service with the most complaints per 100,000 subscribers whereas Sky have the least.

 

The reports are actually quite interesting reading and may interest others:

Discovery + not activating

I have just moved over to Sky Glass and now can't activate Discovery +

 

I have tried via the TV, mysky on the phone and also online however it just keeps coming up on the TV to renew subscription and/or activate account.

 

Is the activation page broken at the moment as it just gives me a blank page that is constantly refreshing?

 

Any help would be grateful

When I found up last night Sky told me it was a discovery plus problem and I needed to phone them. I'm getting very frustrated and not being able to watch Discovery plus and nobody from Sky can help if anyone finds out the answer. Please can they let me know.

I keep getting the same response,  no one is taking responsibility. To be fair to Discovery+ they do give me a monthly contract, but at the end of the month you are back to square one .  Sky are at times absolutely useless

I've found that Discovery+ is flaky too takes 2 to 3 attempts to wake up the app and it is very sluggish. As the content is with ADS regardless I've switched back to watching Discovery content on Apple with no issues unless what I'm watching is cloud streamed from Sky.

I can't believe this is still going on!!! April 2024 this was first brought to attention! I really thought that Sky/Discovery would have sorted it by now. I solved my problem by cancelling TNT through Sky & now pay direct to Discovery plus. I only wanted Discovery plus when they took over the football, but trying to get an answer from either parties was a complete disaster. I don't think they really care. Good luck chaps, hope you can sort them out.

It is Sky's fault on their end as it says customers can't remove the old app and activate the new one as yet

Discovery+ problem on Sky Stream

I am new customer to Sky Stream..I am unable to sign up and activate my discovery+..I gather other people have had this problem and I have reported this to Sky..If sky cannot repair this problem surely they could take £3.99 off of my bill which is the equivalent of what it would cost to sign up with Discovery directly..just a thought.

I got TNT sport through EE for £19 Sky wouldn't shift on the £31 you can still watch the sport via the app on stream or Glass. But as said above watching via Apple much slicker.
