Discovery Plus app on Phone and on my Sky Glass TV have different email addresses linked

I can log onto the Discovery plus app on my phone and watch content and I have logged into the app using the email address linked to mt main Sky TV account. However, when I try to access the Discovery plus app on the TV and go through the process of signing up so I can wtach content on the TV, it is linked to another of my email addresses. I've tried the app refresh but keep getting the same issue when I try again. It seems that the TV app is permantly logged into my other email address and won't clear it which means that I cant watch content on the TV. Any ideas on how I can delete the old email address and log in with the right one?

Hi @Cobblerwarden 

 

In the Discovery plus app open the menu and scroll down to account and then select sign out. You will then be able to sign in with the correct email address.

Hi, thanks for the response but this does not work, Everytime I sign out, I get the same issue when I try to go back in, the App just seems to be locked to the old email address and wont forget it when I sign out?

Hi @Cobblerwarden 

 

When you sign out, you should see the screen with the QR code to sign in? Are you signing in via the code and your mobile device or signing in via entering your logon details on the TV?

 

I would try it manually, i.e. rather than signing in using the QR code. Go https://auth.discoveryplus.com/gb/link and enter the code displayed on the TV screen and then sign in with the correct email.

Failing that you may need to reach out to discovery support.

I have this same issue and there is no way of signing in manually! The only way to sign in is to scan QR code or go to discoveryplus.com/link and then enter the code to activate device.

How can there actually be no way of manually signing in!?
