Why has my credit been declined when I earn 6 figures and credit score is 999?

Credit score isn't the only factor lenders consider on credit applications – in fact in some cases it's not considered at all.
Each lender has its own very specific criteria and will each apply a different weighting to different factors (in fact, something that 1 lender doens't care about at all, will be another lender's number 1 consideration). I don't know, obviously, what criteria Sky's finance company uses – but credit score definitely isn't the only thing.

@PercySeze I'm afraid no here, not even Sky can tell you whuy you failed a credit check, your score isn't the only thing taken into account.

Re: Credit for sky glass tv declined on credit score 999
I'm the same. I don't have any credit whiich probably doesn't help me, but my score is 938 so still good, I'm told. SKY just don't explain which infuriating. If there was an alternative I'd go elsewhere! I have two SKY accounts and I pay £300+ per month, I'm a VIP customer (whatever that means) but still they won't explain 🙂 Utter madness.

I'm sure your six figure salary will stretch to purchasing one outright, no? Just skip the hassle and buy one. The price is pretty much the same either way.

That's what I did, but before that I was told it was interest free so I thought, why not? Just wasted time AND created this credit liine refusal. Baffling.
