Re: Constant issues with Glass
Hi @Dragon514
I've had Glass (and 4 Pucks) for over two years and had very few issues. Glass needs fast and stable internet connectivity for it work. What is your internet speed and how is your Glass connected? Consider connecting via ethernet and turning off the Wifi.
You can see what speed your glass is getting by opening netflix going to settings within the netflix app and run a connectivity check.
One change I did make in the early days was to change the DNS setting in my router from BT to Fast (1.1.1.1) and Google (8.8.8.8) and this really seemed to help. I have BT FTTP 900.
Don't get me wrong, there can be small bumps, particularly when new software releases drop and I have to do an occasional reboot, but last time was probably 3 months ago and I'd say no more than other electronic equipment in my home.
Although i do note a lot of people with issues on the forum, I do feel that a lot of the issues are down to a wide range of variables with different providers routers etc. however one thing I don't think is forgivable is people with Sky broadband having issues, that is (or should be) supported end to end and should be absolutely nailed on.
