Channel turns screen blank on every advert break

Hi daniel, it can be any advert, examples were between 10pm and midnight last night on sky nature. And sky golf all day on and off on Sunday and monday

So this issue has been very noticeable since Thursday last week and all day long 

it appears to be only on the Sky controlled channels on the live not catchup. 

when checked against my Sky go App the problem does not appear there so it appears tied to the Sky Glass feed

Hoping for a speedy resolution to this on going issue

Its happened 3 times in the last hour ,  random adverts (inside out movie , some cremation ad) on channel 409 (noon-1pm on 28/8)

Its gettinf worse not better im considering getting rid of sky ans just paying the tv fee off and going back to virgin

Hi

Watching  Sky Crime today 1pm till 2pm. Every ad break screen goes black and have to toggle up and down between channels to get it back. Adverts cutting off and black screen for a few seconds. 
It's not just one channel but multiple channels and seems to be getting worse and as it's on this forum Sky must know.

I was watching sky sports news and every ad break would start with a few seconds of an advert, black screen no sound then if I was quick I could change up/down channels and I would be part way through a different advert. It was like I was getting 1 feed of ads then getting the black screen as it swaps to a different set of ads. Happened the same 3 times in a row as I sat waiting for the ad break to test it. Is there anyway to revert back to a previous update to remove the issue as I'm seriously considering quiting sky glass due to this and various other issues with it.

Been having this problem too. Got a 55 inch sky glass and noticed the screen going back the last few days, sky sports news is particularly bad but think it is all sky problems. Changing channel and back is the only way round it. Absolute nightmare and sky need to fix this asap.

Happening on my new Sky Stream for every add break this evening. 20.30 28/08/24. Channel 4.

I spoke to a lovely guy today who said they are working on a fix and it should be all sorted by 10th September x

Imagine if you paid to advertise on Sky , if you were last in line then no one with this issue would see your advert. 

So far so good today though, seen through 1 ad break ok on 409.

Hi all,

Our support teams are working to resolve this issue regarding Ads going to a Blank Screen on Sky Glass & Stream as soon as possible.

Once we have more details to share we will update the thread accordingly.

The add break issue is happing on sky sports news this morning on "the football show" each add break is interupted by a blank screen which is easily restored by moving off channel and back on.

Thanks to this thread our support teams were able to identify the root cause and worked to get this resolved. We believe this is now fixed 🎊 however please don’t hesitate to let us know if you continue to experience any issues during adverts.
