Channel turns screen blank on every advert break

Hi. I have a Sky Glass 55 inch TV. I've been watching the Golf on Sky Sports Channel 405. Between approx 8pm - 10pm the screen has gone blank (with no sound) 5 or 6 times. At first I rectified by unplugging and plugging in again, but on further occasions I realised that the TV was on ok and by switching up a channel and then down again, the picture and sound returned!

NB. It's a completely blank screen - not one of the 'waiting to connect' blank screens.

Sky this fault of blank screen when ads come on is becoming annoying and you need to sort this problem and also let us know if your are sorting it and not just monitoring it .a response would be good

I am having the exact same issue. It happened on the Challenge channel yesterday and again on Sky1 this morning. It is very irritating as have to change channels up or down to rectify the issue. Please can this be sorted asap

Hi I've had the same issue on challenge with all sky ads throughout the day, so has my mother. We both have Sky glass

Same. Adverts just cut short with a black screen, no sound, nothing for a second or two. Now channels randomly just going black. This combined with sound going out of sync with the picture and a dark patch appearing on screen. I would not recommend glass to friends, it's been pretty poor.

Hi Also getting this all weekend Long on Sky Sports Main event, Sky Sports F1, Sky Showcase, Sky Witness every single Advert break

So Further update. First advert break after the App Update refresh on Sky Sports F1 and yep still happening this is a really poor situation

Also been happening here all week, on both Sky Puck and Sky Glass - Person I spoke to at Sky seemed to know nothing about it.  Already looking at Virgin media packages now, had enough of it to be honest.

So switched to sky go and no issues at all there so this is something on the Sky glass and Puck feed it seems here

This has just started happening today on my Sky Glass tv. Whilst watching 'Challenge'. It's fine during the programme but as soon as the adverts start, it goes to a black screen and you have to change channels. 

Is anyone else also having issues connecting to the All4 app? Since Friday I have been unable to wards anything as clicking in to the app just brings a screen with a rotating '4' logo. Contacted Sky and they've directed me to the All4 support team (tried switching on/off, resetting the tv and also updating apps). Waiting to hear from the All4 team.

This happens to me also and has been especially bad in the last couple of weeks.  Currently watching sky showcase and it has just happened twice in the same ad break.  Have to switch channels and back again

Mainly having that problem with Challenge last couple of day. After first Advert television switches off. Then problems get back to see the rest of the show.  Plus advert take extra 6 minutes plus shows being cut.   Bangor. Northern Ireland

This is happening all of the time now. Its always on Sky Sports News during tge ad break. Changing channel sorts the issue

Hi, my 55" has been doing this for days, thought it was just me. So far this morning since 5.30am its happened 4 times on Quest HD. It happened all over the week on Discovery,F1, sportsmainevent and basically any channel ran by sky. BBC and ITV seem ok. 

Changing channel fixes the issue but we shouldnt be having to do that every time.
