Channel 4 app not working!

I have Sky glass it has been working well until now. Channel 4 logo just keeps pulling apart and reforming but does nothing. I have switched off & on again. I have refreshed apps. I don't know what else I can do? Help!

Have you tried pulling the plug for a few minutes ?

 

Also the refresh apps works in the background and can take a few hours to fully complete ......

If your Sky Glass is stuck on the Channel 4 logo, try checking your internet connection to ensure it's stable. You could also try clearing the cache for the Channel 4 app or uninstalling and reinstalling it.


There's is no way to clear the cache or uninstall apps on sky glass ......

Thank you for trying to help but that's owning I.T 101. I've done everything the guide has told me to do and nothing has improved the matter. Channel 4 works on my ipad.

YOU CANT FORCE A SOFTWARE UPDATE.

YOU CANT REINSTALL APPS.

1. Check for Software Updates on Sky Glass

Sometimes issues like this can be caused by outdated software. Make sure your Sky Glass TV is running the latest software:

  • Press Home on your remote to bring up the menu.
  • Go to Settings > System > Software update.
  • If there’s an update available, install it and then try accessing Channel 4 again.

2. Reinstall the Channel 4 App

If the app is misbehaving, it might help to uninstall and reinstall it:

  • Press Home on your remote and navigate to Apps.
  • Find Channel 4 and press the Options button (three dots).
  • Select Uninstall.

Not sure where you got this information but it's mostly for a different device. You can't uninstall any apps on a glass tv or sky stream

Thank you for your reply. Life is too short. At some point, when I really can't think of anything I want to occupy my time, I will call Sky & ask them
