Can't go back to watching something i paused

Why can't I go back to watching something I put on pause. I got to watch it on premiere and I don't want to pay for that

Is this via a Sky+ or Sky Q box and what is the title in question ?

Was this a premiere movie rental? If so - from when you start to watch it you only have 48 hours to finish watching 

so if you paused it and came back to it after a couple of days - that would be the reason 

If it's that - still worth trying a livechat with the Skystore team to see if they will offer you a goodwill rental ?

If you were watching a movie from one of the Sky cinema channels that you are subscribing to then you can search for the movie if it is not in your play list and watch it. Highly unlikely it will remember where you left off but you can FF to your last point of viewing.

If its a Sky Store rental go into the app and it is there for a couple of days if renting.
