I recently came over from Sky Q and whilst i like many parts of Stream, the playlist for Formula One doesn't work.
It was difficult for last weekend's Mexican Grand Prix, with links missing and mixed up, but Brazil was a different level of nightmare this weekend. At one point the Puck nearly went out of the window.
The titles for the race linked to the sprint. Qualifying was not available at all, and in the end I accidentally saw the race result on Ted’s notebook which came on incorrectly instead of the highlight show. Absolute shambles.
I reverted to Channel 4 and YouTube late on, making me wonder why I pay for Sky Sports F1 and they pay £millions for F1 rights.
I've put a complaint in to - ViewerR@sky.uk. Glad my house still has the twin coaxials as it is likely I am going back to Sky Q.

As many of you have commented the whole sky glass/stream platform is not very good. As those of you who experienced the problems with formula 1 coverage in the early days of Glass will know, and as someone else has stated, even though call handlers at Sky are very nice nothing actually gets done to improve the situation and it seems as though the same problems keep reoccurring. I never did manage to find the qualifying program, I appreciate that it was rescheduled but Sky still don't seem to be able to cope with changes or overruns where formula 1 is concerned. Surely the whole point of Streaming is that they record the program not the time slot, The events are recorded no what time they take place so they must be stored somewhere on a server and whilst I accept that changing the schedule may mess up adding programs to your play list but surely it can't be that difficult to add it to the catch up section which also seemed to be a mess this weekend. Because of the overrun of the race it only just completed before the program ended and I probably would've had to watch Chequered flag to see the post race interviews and podium, it comes back to the same problem of recording a time slot rather than an actual program. I think there is a general problem with the watch from start function because it doesn't work for Sky News either so you have to wait until the program has finished before you can watch it, the other thing I have noticed is that the sequencing has reverted back to oldest to newest, I also notice that the sound goes sometimes when I am watching a recorded Sky program and I have to rewind a bit which usually fixes it.

Totally agree, I only subscribe to Sky sports so I can watch Formula 1. Not sure how long you have had Sky Glass/ Stream, as you can probably tell from some of the replies there has been constant problems with Sky's coverage of Formula 1 and back when Glass was first launched the only way you could guarantee to watch a race was to watch it live. The whole point of streaming is that you watch a program when you want not when it is first broadcast, Sky still don't seem to be able to get it right. As well as having the problem you experienced I have had the situation where watch from start takes you to Sky Main event instead of SkyF1 where so some completely unknown reason they don't cover the whole race and half way through the race it switches to football or some other sport. it is beyond me why when there is a dedicated Formula 1 channel anyone would want to go to a different channel and watch half the race

I agree with most of the comments that have been made, And this weeks race was a total disgrace. I have had Sky Glass since the first week it was launched. And this weekend was a horrible reminder how bad things used to be.
We can only hope that this weekend was a one off and thanks ourselves that Sky have three weeks to sort it before the Vagus weekend.
Sky glass has improved a lot since its early days and this is the first issue I have had with F1 in about a season and a half. I appreciate that things go wrong or break down what is inacusable is once again just like the early days when we were having exactly the same problems no one has come forward from Sky to offer an oppologie, (disgusting customer service).

I agree with you I spent 20 odd years working in IT and know only too well how frustrating it can be when things don't work and how some times the harder you try to fix things the worse they get, but the one thing I think is paramount is customer service and that is something that Sky lack, back in the early days I spent hours on the phone to Sky and even wrote to the CEO, whilst I didn't expect her to reply I did expect a response from someone and despite all the promises from customer service it took nearly a year to get F1 coverage working properly. I don't think the software was properly tested and it went to market too early. What is worrying is the fact that previous issue keep coming back, sequencing of episodes for example, and, as mentioned by somebody else, watch from start hasn't worked for a couple weeks now on any Sky channel. Although this weekend was nowhere near as bad as it was in the past there does seem to be more and more errors cropping up and not being fixed I fear it may only be a matter of time before F1 coverage goes pear shaped again

Community board, although provided by Sky is not an authentic complaints avenue so therefore, venting your frustration here, although cathartic, won't shift the needle in bringing change to this sorry experiment that is Sky Glass/Streaming at an extortionate price. Other platforms such as EE are way ahead of Sky now. I loved the simplicity of Sky+, after trying OnDigital as an alternative. I now can say, that this new Sky Streaming service has managed to emulate my OnDigital experience of 25yrs ago, but at a much higher price. Welll done Sky.

This is something that has always puzzled me, Sky have a team of people at each race and a dedicated F1 channel but still they record the program based on a time slot rather than the actual event. The whole program is obviously stored somewhere because it eventually becomes available as a catch up or a re-run a year later, logic suggests that neither the chequered flag program nor Ted's notebook can happen until after the race so why not just keep the recording going until the end of the event. Back in the day we had video recorders that could cope with overruns

Welcome to the world of F1 on Sky Glass, you will see if you look at some of the other threads that there has been an ongoing problem with Sky's F1 broadcast of Glass. It is a 100 times better than it was in the early days of Glass but we still have the odd weekends when it all goes wrong, as well as the technical problems the system can't cope with overruns and re-schedules. Sky Glass seems to be going through a period of in stability at the moment as there are a number of other problems cropping up, unfortunately when ever there are problems they always seem to impact F1 most which is annoying because Sky have the monopoly on the broadcast and a lot of us pay for Sport package solely to watch F1.

I contacted Sky and fortunately got somebody really useful. They agreed that Glass and Stream aren't for Sports fans and are going to move me back to Sky Q with a 19th November install date.
I moved house and that was why I changed (thought I was upgrading). It is way over my 30 day cooling off period, but as I mainly use Sky for Sports they gave me poor advice and have respected that it was a mistake.
I will miss UHD on all the pucks, and will have to reroute the twin coaxials to get at least my large TV on 4K... but am looking forward to putting that Stream crock of sh*!t behind me.
