Can't catch up F1 races this weekend.

Just reporting this in case anyone has any insight. I have emailed the viewer relations people about it.  I don't know if it's anything to do with streaming rights etc, but I've not encountered it before.

I was trying to catch up the F1 Sprint qualifying from Brazil yesterday.  The program was still being broadcast live but I had missed the first 20 minutes, so I wanted to get back to the start.  Catch up only showed me last weeks Mexico race.  If I watch it live there’s no option to  ‘watch from start’.  I've always been able to catch races from the start even if I am 45 minutes late - there was an option to restart once the prgram was on my screen.

Today I was trying to watch the Sprint race and again I was coming to it about 20 minutes after the start.  Sky Glass today has no facility to restart a program that is already underway. In fact the program doesn’t appear as available - I'm sure something has changed because up until this weekend it has been possible to jump into a F1 race part-way through and use the on-screen option to ‘watch from the start’. That is no longer possible, meaning I have to watch it live or wait for the whole broadcast to end and then watch it.
There's a new button under the program icon that says ‘watch from start’ but when used it tells me 'there’s a technical fault'. Same as yesterday.

Emailing the Viewer Relations Team is certainly the correct way to go.

Re: Can't catch up F1 races this weekend.

This is getting really annoying, I pay full price for Sports only to watch F1 and they cannot get it right this weekend.. Not impressed at all.

Re: Can't catch up F1 races this weekend.

About time this experiment with streaming on Sky Glass/Stream was terminated. At my sons house earlier and his EE Box was streets ahead of Sky setup, but just ahead of my old Sky+ Box. Tried to find Qualifying there now and it's not there. Also tried backup of F1 highlights as Belt and Braces and it's not there either. What's going wrong Sky? Why do I have to pay so much for such mediocrity?

Anyone else having problems with Formula 1 coverage on Sky Glass

Sky Glass F1 coverage seems to have gone back to where it was three years ago. I tried to watch Sprint on Saturday and couldn't find it anywhere, I managed to watch Sprint Race Saturday afternoon and was going to watch Qualifying Saturday evening unfortunately we had an Internet failure (not Sky's fault) so couldn't and tried to find it on Sunday morning and couldn't find it anywhere. I found an entry under "In case you missed it" but that was actually Sprint Qualifying. I started watching the programme listed as qualifying that had started at 8 ish but that was showing the end of qualifying so I press watch from start and took me to the Sprint qualifying. I have noticed that watch from start comes up with an error on some other sky channels. I hope we aren't going to back to the appalling service we had before. Obviously no point in complaining to Sky because as we know from previous experience they don't really care what quality of service they provide all they care about is us continuing to pay them hundreds of pounds every month.

I have had Sky glass from the early days and am aware of all the different places programmes can be accessed and have to say the problems that I am experiencing with F1 are very similar to the problems we had in the early days of Sky glass.

If you don't report it to Sky how do you think they will be aware of the issue and look at fixing it?

I've got F1 on my playlist and the sprint race and the qualifying from Saturday night "recorded" and were available to watch.

The only issue was the sprint qualifying on Friday night, which didn't appear on my playlist until early Saturday morning for some reason.

Also as a note the rescheduled Sunday morning qualifying isn't currently appearing on the playlist - likely due to it being misstated as just qualifying and not "Live F1" so it's essentially treating it like it isn't part of the traditional series link. So you may need to wait some time for that to appear if you haven't watched it live. To be fair that's sort of understandable with the last minute rescheduling of qualifying that this particular issue can occur.

This issue continues in one form of another. Genuinely awful.

Re: Can't catch up F1 races this weekend.

I'm having the same problems, also right now they have qualy listed for 1pm as I missed it earlier, the program I'm seeing is obviously what was originally sheduled 😡 the live show this morning is not in my playlist either so I can't watch it. I'm not very confident that the live race will actually show at 2pm.

sky stream is a complete mess, I've 3 pucks and they're all the same, keep restarting them but nothing works, sky news won't start from the start for over two weeks ago and even from the playlist the most recent show I can watch is oct 21, my contract is up this month and I'm thinking of changing to virgin media

also Netflix app is awful through sky, I can watch Netflix on my tv app with no problems so it's not me

As mentioned above.

Would suggest emailing the Sky Viewer relations team to report your issues.
ViewerR@sky.uk
They do respond to emails with any updates for your queries or problems and will pass such feedback onto the relevant Sky teams, in this case Sky Sports or the EPG teams.

Re: Can't catch up F1 races this weekend.

As people kindly suggest emailing customer viewing the question is, should subscribed customers actually have to chase a department within Sky to obtain what they are paying upwards of £34.99 a month to watch?

Re: Can't catch up F1 races this weekend.

Sadly Contacting Sky will get you Knowhere, I thought we had seen the last of these issues. We were plagued with similar issues two season ago and it was not for just one race it was about a season and a half. And in all that time sky never spoke to anyone never gave any apologies for the shocking service they were providing. In they did not even admit there was an issue. We simply had to keep paying the premium price for what was a truly dreadful service. My only hope is that this weekends fiasco is a one off and we are not returning to the terrible service that we had two years ago.

Fortunatly I will be able to watch live today. But i would have licked to have seen qualifying, I have no idea who is on pole so frustrating.

Re: Can't catch up F1 races this weekend.

This is exactly our problem today and now we were just watching the live race, pressed pause at lap 3,

Went to watch and it jumped to lap 33 with no option to rewind or start from beginning! Absolutly furious!

We only pay for sports for the f1,

Re: Can't catch up F1 races this weekend.

And the way this race is going we wont see the end even if your watching live. As Sky has never managed to solve the issue of extending the broadcast when races are delayed due to rain
