Can't access mexican f1 qualifying or practice sessions apart from fp1

I've missed the mexican GP qualifying and  I'm hastily trying to watch it before I find out the results, but not for the first time when I selected the mexican GP qualifying icon I get a 2 day old practice session. I'm finding this very frustrating after years of using sky glass this is still happening. Sky q was very reliable what was saved to the hard drive was available to watch when I wanted it. Now I find by the time it's randomly appeared, I have accidentally come across the results ( usually on another sky glass headline icon)and it's pointless watching it. Not sure why I'm paying for this....

This is something that drives me insane also as an avid F1 fan and Sky Glass user. I find it to be so sporadic. Sometimes all the weekend event episodes are available immediately, then other weekends (like this one) I can't watch much at all! I'm currently watching it on 4 on demand 🤦🏻‍♂️. As you say, not sure what we're paying for...

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

There will always be a delay with live programming on commercial stations being uploaded for on-demand viewing because the programme requires some form of editing (e.g removing the ad breaks). That's one of the benefits of the BBC, live programming is pretty much available immediately after broadcasting unless they have to perform any editing like removing swearing.

I've found on Sky Q Catchup that there is often some naming clashes, for example threremis

F1

Formula One

Formula 1

live: Formula 1

mexico city: f1 gp

all showing different results. I presume Sky Stream uses the same database.

Re: Can't access mexican f1 qualifying or practice sessions apart from fp1

I am in this hell right now. I moved from BT to Sky as I got fed up waiting for C4 Highlights to become available often by Monday or unsociable hours.

Having got through most of the season now, I am of the opinion this is no better than what I had before.

Worse still, is when you open the Sky Go app, the F1 hub has all the interviews with captions like 'Driver X hails their amazing lap', as if spoilers are no issue to Sky.

It is a joke of a service. Is it better on Sky Q where at least recordings are saved locally to your device?

Re: Can't access mexican f1 qualifying or practice sessions apart from fp1

This is so annoying the other thing is that most of the time if you go to watch say the qualifying on catch up for some reason you get what ever was on main event and not on sky sports f1 and miss half of the event.

I have messaged and spoken to sky multiple times about this and either they don't bother replying or say someone will call me back and never do so unprofessional.
