Broken sky glass screen

So my screen was knocked by my partner on my sky glass and is now completely broken, can I get a replacement for it? If so how much is a replacement? Or can it be repaired and again if so how much usually? What have other people done in a similar situation, it's passed the 2 year warranty and I still have 2 years of payments left

Any help would be greatly appreciated

many thanks!

Hi @Jimmy1305

Screen repairs are not available. See: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-glass-tv-repairs

Sky may be able to sell you a refurbished unit but you will need to call Sky for this (we are fellow subscribers). You will also need to continue to pay for the damaged unit if on finance as that was a loan, however you may be able to claim on your home insurance.

Skys warranty would not cover accidental damage in any event.

Note that the warranty would not have covered accidental damage anyway.  Repayment of the unsecured personal loan used to purchase the set is an obligation whether or not the television is functional: the loan contract isn't linked to the hardware.

Alternatively you could go the full on "recycling route" and purchase a used set locally ....... you can often pick up a bargain as the ised

sets don't have much of a market and the prices can be low. They can be added to your existing account on activation provided you have whole home package
