Blank screen when gen2 tv turned on

We got our new gen2 sky glass tv delivered last wednesday and everything is good except every time we turn the TV on from standby, you can see a backlight come on but there is no image on the screen and just stays blank for no matter how long you wait.

 

The only resoulution is that we have to turn on and off from the plug  every time which is not conveniant! We have turned off all 'enhanced' settings, done a hard reset, a full factory reset and everything else you could think of but still the same issue!

 

Tried to contact Sky but the website said because the TV is connected and and no further issues deteced apparantly we can't get any further support hence my post here

I would be calling sky and asking for a replacement..... my gen 2 doesn't do that

I shall be on their case tomorrow! Do you know roughly how painful the whole replacement and return process is at all?

Take a video or photo beforehand as they will ask for proof  ...... insist on a replacement 

 

once agreed they will give you a date for a swap ..... make sure you take photos / videos of the set before returning in case it's damaged in transit

Make sure you insist on a brand new, sealed box replacement, not a refurbished unit. You have purchased a brand new TV and that is what you should receive, not someone else's sloppy seconds.
