Black sound bar on white sky glass tv

Hi. I have just received my sky tv glass in white but the soundbar is black. It showed it all being white when we ordered it???

The speaker grille on all Glass TVs are black, regardless of the colour of case ordered. Sky do sell magnetic speaker colours in different colours/patterns that fit over the top of the built-in black grille, rather than replacing it.

If you ordered a white speaker cover, it should be in a long, thin cardboard box seperate from the Glass TV box itself.

Unfortunately the advertising images used with Sky Glass are distinctly misleading and make it appear that the coloured fabric speaker cover panel is flush with the rest of the unit. This is not the case. 

As @CoffeeDrinker has pointed out - the speaker cover on all colours of Sky Glass is black, and you need to purchase (at additional cost) a fabric cover which attaches magnetically over the existing black one to match the colour of your Glass TV. This unfortunately will not be exactly flush with the rest of the unit as it appears in the advertised images.

Just gone through the motions of buying a Glass TV via my iPad Pro/iOS18.2/Safari and tried choosing different colours - the grille colour does indeed change with the case colour. Picking the white colour, the speaker colour picker stays on black but the picture showing the selection has the speaker cover colour changing to white:

If @smurfette saw the same when buying the TV, I can understand the surprise and disappointment when the Glass TV set arrived and didn't match up to the picture on the Personalise Sky Glass page.

Could someone else run through the Glass TV purchase/personalisation process and see if they see the same result?

Just tried it. Same result for me too. Very misleading for the customer as it's not representative of the product you receive. There are no true pictures of the Glass TV in any other colour with the default black speaker.

Our dusky pink speaker cover almost but doesn't quite match the colour of our 43" dusky pink Glass TVs. Close enough for us, but I can imagine those expecting a 100% match being disappointed.

Thank you both for trying this for me. I think it's a bit of a joke that they sell it like this, then to have to buy the colour match at the cost of £40 to ourselves I think is disgraceful. Very misleading indeed

We bought our duskey pink Glass TV in January 2023; the website then did make it abundantly clear that the speaker grille was black and that it would be £39 for a matching magnetic cover. We bought the cover and it arrived in a seperate box along with our Glass TVs.

Not sure why the personalisation page has changed in the meanwhile. It might be worth calling Sky, alerting them to the fact that changing the TV colour also changes the speaker grille cover to match (it doesn't stay black in the pictures, even though all Glass TVs have a black speaker grille as standard). Hopefully they'll put matters right with you. Going off the images on the page, it is indeed misleading.
