Black screen technical fault
SOS!!!
We have had Glass a couple of months & the most annoying issue almost every evening in the middle of a program where the screen goes black. I then get a message saying please wait for your programme to load. Then it says- theres a technical fault with this channel. Please try again later. The only way to resolve is to press the button on the TV to reset. Having had Sky for decades , Glass is the worst decision I ever made 😬

Re: Black screen technical fault
@emsysastre Well according to Sky, this issue is now fixed:
See final post in the locked thread.
It appears not, unless your issue is with watching Chicago PD? That is a separate issue that many are having at the moment.

Re: Black screen technical fault
Thanks for your response but it's definitely happening here every single day & not with Chicago PD 🤣😬

Re: Black screen technical fault
@emsysastre I feel your pain. I first reported it to Sky in early April. It may be that the update with the fix will take a few days to roll out to everyone.
I did start a thread asking why the existing thread had been locked without providing some crucial information to customers here:

Re: Black screen technical fault
Thank you! I just checked & my version is not the same as the one mentioned in the other thread. I have QS036.017.00P - do you think this is why? Can we update ourselves?

Re: Black screen technical fault
@emsysastre We have to wait for it as updates are rolled out in batches.

Re: Black screen technical fault
@emsysastre I'm on the same QS036.017.00P as you, and for me this fault was fixed just over a week ago.
The TV went into recovery mode on switch on one day, and it's been fine ever since.
I didn't start the recovery mode, so I'm assuming it was initiated by Sky.

Hi - it's worth running network check which you can find in the Netflix app in the settings menu - this will give you an indication of the speed you are getting on your device
whi is your internet service provider?
Can you aldo try logging out of Amazon prime and check you still get the issue tonight ?
