Battery icon

Good morning

Was watching Glass last night and a white half empty battery icon appeared on the screen.

Is this just for information or is it to warn the battery in the remote is actually goosed?

I changed it anyway and the icon disappeared.

Sorry but it's never happened to me before.

Thankyou

Hi @Red+Silence

Yes this is correct. It normally puts a full banner across the top telling you to replace the batteries and then shows the icon until replaced.

There have been some issues with this feature and it constantly telling you to replace, but seems to have been fixed in software updates.

Re: Battery icon

@Red+Silence

Sky Glass you can sometimes get pop up a message on screen saying  battery level low even though the batteries power levels are OK

I get this with Sky Glass but less often with Sky Stream Pucks

I have a battery level tester to check if actually low or expired

No need to be replacing the batteries unless actually low or expired

When I get that on screen message about low battery

What I do is remove existing batteries from remote and just put them back in again

The actual battieres are fine and remote will still work

@mikealanr

It has not been fixed with software updates it still happens getting false low battery warning with Sky Glass

@lynguinn Try rebooting your Glass/Stream as it prob`bly just a minor software glitch.

Switch off your Glass or Stream puck at the plug socket and wait for a minute before switching it on again.  It will take about a minute to reboot.
