Audio output from skyglass
I'm trying to connect my sky glass to my 'Cocktail' audio using an earc hdmi through a converter and RCA cables into the Cocktail. It seems no matter what I buy it doesn't work.
Any ideas anyone please?

Re: Audio output from skyglass
@fedupinisolation All depends on what your audio extractor is doing, what is being extracted, how it is being passed to your cocktail box and what your cocktail box can handle audio format wise.
Working backwards....
Does your cocktail audio box handle Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby Digital? if you're connecting via a pair of RCA stereo cables, chances are it doesn't., In which case your cocktail box will not be able to handle anything other than PCM Stereo. If your cocktail box is connected via either an optical or co-axial digital connection it may be able to handle Dolby Digital but not Dolby Digital Plus.
Next step is the cable connection between your audio extractor and your audio box. if you are using a pair of RCA stereo cables, then you won't get anything more than PCM stereo no matter what your cocktail box might support. Optical or co-axial digital and you might be able to get Dolby Digital but only if your cocktail box can support it.
Lastly is your audio extractor. Presumably this is connected to your Glass TV via HDMI? Does your audio extractor only extract audio or can it convert it as well. If it only extracts, then outputting Dolby Digital Plus from the Glass TV (which is the default unless changed) will pass DD+ through to your cocktail box. If it converts, then it need to be set to output Dolby Digital or PCM stereo, depending on your extractor<>cocktail box cable connection and what your cocktail box can support.
As a troubleshooting step, set your Glass TV to output PCM stereo via HDMI. Even with the most limited set of cables and cocktail box audio handling, your should get stereo sound from your cocktail box (assuming everything works as you describe). if there are any switches or setting that can be made on your audio extractor, set it to stereo or PCM stereo.
If this fails to work, let us know and include the make & model of your audio extractor & cocktail box.
