Hi @Welder23  I had a Glass TV which in general I was happy with except the picture quality was not particularly good.  I sold it and moved to a stream puck which I find brilliant but there are a few ongoing issues such as lip sync problems on the streaming platform at the moment (both Glass and Puck).

Be aware that Sky are making an announcement at some point this month and the speculation is that it refers to a new version of the Glass TV.  See this news article which may be of interest.

@Welder23 there are many many customers who are happy with Sky Glass, but the question that only you can answer is will you be happy with Sky Glass?

I myself, would not be happy with Sky Glass and chose not to purchase it as I prefer the picture quality of an OLED screen. 

Further,  Sky Glass came out circa 2021 and apart from software updates, it is still using the same hardware technology but the prices are still high... for £1000+ for a 65" Glass, I think you can get a better smart television.

If the freedom from wires is attractive, I would prefer another Smart TV with the Nowtv app (near enough the same programmes- for me at least)

Other TV manufacturers are releasing near models near enough every year.

Sky Glass 2 is likely to be released soon, so might be a better option.

If it is Sky's  0% finance option that is attractive, fair enough, but if you financed it over 4 years, you would be paying for a 2021 model tv in 2028/ 2029

@Welder23 Entirely happy with our 43" dusky pink Glass TV in the bedroom. Already had a decent TV & AV system downstairs so got Sky Stream puck for that. Mrs Coffeedrinker wanted a TV in the bedroom. I wanted something decent (ie soundbar etc), she wanted an all in one solution with no/minimal extra boxes. Glass ticked all the boxes. 

On the one hand the picture and sound pale next to the main lounge system. On the other, the picture & sound are more than good enough for a second/bedroom TV, and with the dusky pink finish matching the decor, it passes the WAF (wife acceptance factor) for use in the bedroom. One remote control (don't tell her about the Apple TV 4k box I have hidden around the back), a content-first interface with playlists that sync with the puck downstairs as she has no idea what shows are on which service and we're entirely happy with our Glass TV.

Don't. Unless you are happy with an 'OK' picture, OK sound. There are way better TVs for way less money out there. I personally am so sorry that I chose Glass [swayed by the hype]. Playing BluRay discs on it is laughable, I had better picture quality on old VHS tapes. I cannot wait for this contract to be up so that I can a, get rid of this TV and b, get rid of Sky.

Yep, happy with mine. Mine's used as a dining room TV, with a Puck for the main, living room TV. I don't have any of the issues reported by some here: freezing, black screen, buffering, lip sync. It's more reliable than the Sky Q Mini I was previously using in the dining room. 

Picture quality is good enough for my use. Sound quality was better than any other panel TV I've used - until the woofer speaker blew (out of warranty), cicumvented by adding a sound bar.

By their very nature, support forums will always have a disproportionally high percentage of complaints.

The most important thing to know is that the current Sky Glass is now more than three years old but essentially the same price, and wasn't particularly glowingly reviewed at the time.  Given there's apparently a significant announcement later this month (February 2025) you might want to hold off any decision.

Personally I'd say ours Glass set is mostly adequate for our viewing needs (though with horrible compression artifacts evident in the 'balck bars' on some channels) but I do look longingly at OLEDs now available for a similar investment.

Quite happy. Had it since release day 1 and it does everything I need it to do. It doesnt stack up against an OLED but it replaced an inferior TV so got an upgrade in sounds & picture quality anyway.

Very happy  with  my 55inch sky glass tv,  had it since  it first  came out, after  switching  from sky q, great picture  and sound, once i got the tv  after a couple  of weeks  i got rid of my soundbar as the sound  quality  from the tv was much  better, I would  say that you  need a good broadband  speed  for the tv to watch the tv you need the tv to be getting  at least  25mps  that's  to the tv it's self  not to the router, if you  want  to  watch  in uhd the tv needs to be getting  at least  35mps  and I would  suggest  that the tv is best connected  to the router  by an  ethernet cable  as it is more  stable than WiFi  connection  I have also got the sky live camera  as well, my wife  and I are very happy  with  the tv, and are waiting  to see what  the 2nd generation  sky glass  tv is going  to be  like
