Adverts

Hi is there a way i can remove adverts on sky glass. I like to have the small player at the bottom whilst i scroll through the tv Guide. But sometimes i get a text. And as i reply to my text message, the tv just goes to adverts and clears what i was watching. Sometimes its a good documentary. I loose it.

other situation is when my partner is in the kitchen and calls me to assist her with something. As i go over and we start conversations, you hear the tv just go mute. And when i look, its gone to adverts.

This is really really annoying because it feels like sky is ALWAYS trying to sell you things. The tv in your house turns into an add portal. It almost feels like the tvs in currys or pc world distributing adverts to everyone that walks by.

worst part of owning a sky glass.

If not possible, is there a way, i can have the tv and my sky glass back?  Making everything go to ondemand is good for them. Not the consumer. I liked holding a hard drive with recordings for years.

@FelixG short answer is no the menu interface automatically goes to a screen saver - a carosel of main recommendations - after a fixed time and then a few minutes later the system goes into standby you cannot change that. Simply leave the programme full screen you can browse other channels using the on screen mini guide.

If you mmean can you keep the TV and have Sky Q back then thst should be possible give Sky a call and ask if you still hsve your Sky kit its simple if not then its a tad more complex.
