Accessing ITVX and BBC IPlayer while at static holiday caravan

I have Sky Glass at home, and I have a static holiday caravan in Wales, where I have a Sony TV which is about ten years old. For some reason, I can't access apps like BBC iPlayer and ITVX on it using the standard signal through the aerial. My Sky Glass TV at home allows me to access them. What's the best way to get these apps at the caravan? It would be nice to be able to watch at least some Sky channels there as well but it isn't a priority.

Amazon Firestick maybe? Or a Smart DVD/Blu-ray player? A Freeview box? Plenty of ways to connect these days. Can you screen cast from your mobile to the TV - I know you said it's ten years old and I can't remember how long screencasting has been a thing!

Silly question but I assume you do have an internet connection where you have your caravan. None of the apps will work without one.

The reason would be those aren't broadcast services received through an aerial: they arrive online over a suitably fast internet connection.

By default Glass only uses online data: while it's possible to connect an aerial to a Glass set, there's generally very little point.

Not really a Sky issue is it? Buy yourself an updated tv that supports apps.
