3 glass gen 2. All broken

Honestly.  Lost the will now. Had 3 sky glass gen 2 over a 2 week period. All broken.  Black screens, purple screens and the final one won't even turn on. 

 

Reversed back to my old tv and puck.  Never had a issue with Gen1 Glass so thankfully we kept that on the wall. The Gen2 was for upstairs. 

Never want another one.  Some serious flaws in this glass tv 

 

Has anyone else had these issues.

Sorry to hear you  have had such bad luck with  your  gen 2 tv have you  connected  sky about this happening  again, I  personally  have had my gen 2 since March  and it's  working  fine

@Gf3000 The black screens are a firmware issue that many, myself included, are experiencing at the moment. Read the marked answer in this thread:

The last couple of pages have a possible workaround while we wait for the fix. It's an issue that's hit customers with both gens of TV.

I'm not so sure the OPs issue is necessarily the same as those issues @Anonymous

I have contacted sky. Im sending it back and going back to my puck. Had enough now. 3  broken ones is just too much.

I'm having my 3rd delivered tomorrow because of lines on the screen when attempting to watch football, especially in UHD. Don't have much hope that this one will be any better but hoping I'm wrong.

@schiv85 Are you sure it's not just the way the grass on the pitch is cut?

haha, you joke but the guy I spoke to on Tuesday genuinly asked me that question. Did have to laugh.

I just today took delivery of a new Sky Glass Gen 2. Nothing but problems. It first said that "due to technical issues I had limited service". I called. They fixed. Now it's stuck of Software Update. I've done 4 o 5 hard resets. I've used an Eternet cable. Each time it hands at the Software Update.

 

My old Sky Glass is working perfectly. It did a software update over the wifi in seconds. This Gen 2 is a disaster. I wish I had never bought it. 

 

Now try to organise a return
