Why in 2025 are subtitles still not

Smaller - we pay so much to sky why can't they fix something the customers want.... shocking

Agree ridiculous no progress over the years. Earlier responses said it was due to a chip in the sky Q  box but I see the puck users have the same issue.

what's the real issue Sky..

I was SHOCKED when I saw the subtitles for the first time , they are horrible!  It cant be hard to have a few options for the display, if other streamers can manage itcan it?

Re: Subtitles are far too large and intrusive. Friends and family are furious that subtitles can’t

Just got sky puck thing and am with Sky for the first time. I prefer to watch shows with subtitles because of not so great hearing.

Is this some kind of a joke for Sky? Subtitles are literally taking 10-15% of my screen sometimes. They're so invasive it's unreal, I've never seen anything like it.

And naturally there's no settings to choose size because why bother!

If Sky is reading this forum (doubt it), could you get someone to vibe code it for you? It can't be that hard. I'm literally speechless.

Without knowledge of how subtitles work on a device it is just a guess how difficult programming it is or is not

Funny how every other provider and service I used in the past could figure it out but Sky, looking at the comments here, can't seem to for years now. At this point it must be neglected on purpose.

I have been complaining over a number of years to no avail. Apparently Sky have taken the cheap/easy option to piggy back on to the old teletext system to deliver sub titles.

If it was a big showstopper then I'd have though that people would move to a provider that has the options they require

A hardware limitation, such as a Teletext chip may well explain why the subtitle display is fixed and can't be configured.
