No subtitles on Star Trek Picard

Why are there no subtitles on Picard on Paramount+?  I had the same trouble with Discovery, but then they suddenly appeared in the last series; not so with Picard.  It's extremely difficult to follow series such as these, with all the complex plots, without subtitles when hearing is not good.
