My new Sky Q accessibility remote is inaccessible - I cant get the flipping back off! Help

I just received a Sky Q accessibility remote  for my husband, who recently had a stroke, and is struggling with the tiny black standard remote.

However, I cannot for the life of me get the back off to put batteries in. It is inaccessible! Any tips for a poor old woman to the darned back off?

I believe the Sky Q Accessible remote is based on the older Sky+ remote, so I'm assuming the back is removed in the same way.

Try this:

Hold the remote, face down in the palm of one hand.

With the thumb of your other hand, push the clip in the recess at the bottom of the remote towards the top of the remote and while keeping it pushed, lift the back cover up.
