Lazy subtitlers block on-screen subtitles
Watching new series 'Atomic'.
Firstly, Sky have used yellow coloured subtitles when a non English language is used. Not a great contrast.
Secondly, I have a partner who needs subtitles turned on due to hearing difficulties. In programmes like this, and others such as The Jackel, whenever a non-English language is spoken, the programme has subtitles built in. However, if CC is turned on, whenever they appear, a caption appears that covers those subtitles telling me what language is being spoken. This is so lazy on behalf of the subtitler. Why can't they be placed above the built in subtitles so they're not obscured?
Come on Sky, make your programmes accessible!!

Re: Lazy subtitlers block on-screen subtitles
Hello,
Yellow subtitles for non-English dialogue can definitely be hard to read, especially if there's not enough contrast. And those built-in subtitles combined with CC showing what language is being spoken? That sounds so annoying, especially when it blocks the actual dialogue! It would make so much sense to position the "language" captions above the regular subtitles.
