I'm trying to help my deaf mother in law but Sky aren't helpful

My 98 year old mother-in-law is deaf. She enjoys her TV with the sub titles on.

In order to install a security camera in her house to monitor her whilst ourselves or carers are not with I'm trying to sign up for broadband through Sky. I've tried for a couple of days through the my sky app and the website to add broadband to her package but keep getting a message about technical difficulties. I have just phoned Sky but they won't help. I was told that they have an ongoing problem with some of their online systems. I know her log in details but I kept being asked for her verbal password. I set up her Sky in at the outset but don't recall setting one up and, if I did, can't remember it. They gave me three attempts and then said that I should phone again when I'm at my mother-in-law's. I can't see how this would work as she's deaf and will be confused about what's going on. Of course I could get my wife to pretend that she's her mother and they wouldn't be any the wiser.

We sort out all aspects of my mother-in-law's life and find this so frustrating.
