Exciting News! BSL Signing Now Available on Sky Cinema Comedy!
We're thrilled to announce that starting tomorrow, Sky will be showing select movies with British Sign Language (BSL) signing for the first time in over a decade! This is fantastic news for our deaf and hard of hearing customers.
What to Watch:
The first movie to be screened with BSL signing is Barbie (Signed). Join us on Sky Cinema Comedy tomorrow:
- 11:40 AM
- 8:00 PM
About Barbie (Signed):
When Margot Robbie's seemingly perfect life takes a turn for the worse, she escapes Barbieland with Ryan Gosling and ventures into the real world. This 2023 film is 110 minutes long and will be presented with BSL signing.
How to Watch with BSL Signing:
- BT TV: Channel 522
- SkyQ/HD+ & Sky Glass/Stream: Channel 308
- Virgin: Channel 408

Please be aware that you can only access movies with BSL signing if you have a current Sky subscription.

Worth pointing out Sky Cinema Comedy (or whatever it would become when it is transformed as one of the pop-up channels) is not one of the stations that is listed by Ofcom this year to require subtitling, sign language and audio discribed, but on a voluntary basis, it's a plus. But six of the Sky Cinema channels (Premiere, Select, Greats, Family, Animation, Action) do, full requirement. (The link on the broadcasting code on access services is here)
