Cancelling an account for husband

I emailed skyaccessible a month ago about my husband's dementia and my wish to cancel the account, including  a code to access the LPA online. He is mostly bedridden and doesn't watch any tv. I received an automated reply saying they would be in touch. I wonder how long this will take!

Am I likely to be able to speak to anyone by phone, I am not the account holder? The contract is long gone and he is paying £200 a month. Does anyone know how long this process will take?

Hello,

You’re not the account holder, but you can act on his behalf if you have Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA).

You did the right thing by emailing Sky Accessible and including the LPA code.

£200/month is a significant amount — it’s urgent that this is addressed.

I have to say Sky came up trumps. It took a month but there were no quibbles or extra extra getout payments. I had a phone call from a very pleasant lady and it was all sorted in minutes.
