I really hope this feedback reaches the right department.
George, the Sky engineer who made a visit to our house today went over and above to resolve our technical issues.
George called in advance of the visit to run through the Covid checks and to understand more about the issues, enabling him to arrive fully prepped for the work. Cheery and helpful, right from the off.
On inspection he found a number of areas he was not happy with in relation to the cabling and previous works. He set about correcting the previous works and essentially ended up removing and replacing all the old cabling. He could have easily chosen to take a short cut and patch up the work. He could have also been totally forgiven for doing this had he so been inclinded, as the rain, hail, thunder and lightening would have been more than enough to make most people run to their van but he continued regardless.
In addition to the cabling, he replaced the old dish and LNB, finding further areas of concern that he repaired or replaced.
The result is that we now have near perfect signal strength and all the issues we had previously experienced have been resolved.
Oh, and all this without a single complaint, friendly conversation and with the clear aim of just wanting to do a job properly.
Did I mention he also kindly cleared the gutters next to where he was working as the terrential rain was pouring over the side.
I want to say a massive thank you to George and I hope the management teams at Sky recognise his customer service contributions and his diligence in completing a job properly.
