At Sky, we hit the big 3-0 this year – and we’re reflecting on three decades of first-class TV. From groundbreaking sports coverage and must-watch movies to 24-hour rolling news, we always strive to deliver more for our customers. Here’s why your Sky experience looks better than ever.
We believe we’re only as good as our entertainment. That’s why we’ve been investing in high-quality content ever since we launched. Last year we took it to the next level, investing an extra £4.50 per customer, every month, on the TV you love. So, where does it go? We’ve invested more in Sky original productions and exciting partnerships with HBO, Showtime and Cinemax. And, with record audience figures for the likes of Riviera and Das Boot, we reckon it’s worth it.
We’ve rolled out the red carpet with Sky Cinema, too. We’ve come a long way since its launch as Sky Movies in 1989! With over 1,000 movies and a new premiere every day, you’ll always find flicks to match your mood. Watch Sky original movies at home as soon as they hit the big screen. And if that’s not enough, we paired up with Netflix last year to bring you even more titles with Ultimate on Demand.
Sports-wise, you can always bank on the biggest live action. In 2017, we added four dedicated channels, and secured sports rights that matter most to you. Get set for more live Premier League matches than any other channel until 2022. Catch every Formula 1® practice, race and qualifier live until 2024. And enjoy live coverage of all England home Tests, ODIs and T20s until 2024 – only on Sky Sports.

Entertainment is more than just TV – it’s about experiences, too. So in 2017, we launched Sky VIP – our brand-new loyalty programme. Since then, we’ve delivered over 6,500 unique experiences, like sharing the ring with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. And the best part is they’re open to everyone.
