I am a Virgin Media customer with subscriptuon to Sky Sports.
I have installed the Sky Sports App on a mobile device today and have tried to log in to watch content unsuccessfully. also tried on my laptop but always end up with an error message as follows:
You don't have permission to access "***redacted***" on this server.

I am not using a VPN on either phone or laptop and am based in Bristol in the UK. I have tried on my mobile device via 4G connection rather than Wifi and get the same result. This is my first attempt to watch content other than via my TV - basically i want to test whether i can access Sky Sports + 'red button' content via my phone or laptop. Thanks for any assistance or pointers folks...

Ok - it turns out that my email address isn't the 'main' account on our Virgin Media Account - it is my wifes address, and you can only watch Sky remotely by signing inusing the main account. Once we log on with the credentials to Sky, it is all good. Thanks @caesarome for the prompt!

I'll give it a try @caesarome , thanks. Although, as I don't have any issues that I am aware of on my Virgin account and can log on there perfectly well, the pessimist in me says that their answer will be 'you need to talk to Sky'.

One other thing you could do is to see if anyone else is having this issue on the Virgin forums ?
