I have a sport subscription so can watch Tennis on Sky box but am no longer able to select a match on the app which up to recently I have been able to do.
If I open the app and login I can watch the live stream but can't select any particular match.
Has something changed? It seems to be saying I need Sky Sports plus to watch specific matches
Thanks

You can only record the content from the linear sky sports channels, bonus content being streamed via the sky sports + service on the Sky sports app cannot be recorded or watched on-demand, it must be watched live.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@John+Notebook Do you have a subscription to
sky sports complete pack + sky sports +
single channel subscriptions do not get access
further if you have sky plus you only receive the linear channel

No, I only watch tennis so only subscibed to Sky Sports - 1 Pack, I used to be able to select matches but now can't?
I have a Sky + box so can't choose them on the TV.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@John+Notebook to get access to the red button feeds you need to upgrade your subscription to the full pack
if you want to watch on tv you need to upgrade to either Sky Q Sky glass or sky stream
The only way to watch if on sky plus is to use sky sports mobile app on phones and tablets only

Thank you.
What I don't understand is something has recently changed.
Up to very recently I could choose courts when I use the Sky Sports app on my tablet now it won't let me, and as you say it seems I need a full subscription to be able to choose courts on the app.
I only watch tennis so it doesn't make sense to have the full sports package.
I can't get anyone at Sky..

It's because all bonus streams of sporting content are now part of the new Sky Sports + service, which is integrated into the Sky sports app but requires the complete Sky sports pack to be able to access.

Thank you Mark, Sky kept that quiet.. It looks like I'll have to take yet another contract.
What I couldn't understand is why it was working fine but now doesn't..
The feeling I get with Sky these days is similar to when somone stole my wallet when I was on holiday

I have experienced exactly the same problem. I subscribed to the full Sports package in order to get Sky Tennis and to get that one channel would have cost me the same each month. I had been enjoying being able to press the red button and select which match I wanted to watch but now I can't. I received no notice that access rules would change especially as the adverts for Sky Sports Plus stated that if you had the Sky Sports package you would automatically be able to access the streaming service as part of it. With the Cincinatti tournament going on at the moment it was infuriating to lose access to all the matches going on, and I'm wondering what will happen when the US Open begins in a few days. How can I regain access to the streaming service, and will it cost me extra each month? I don't feel the answers I've already read really shed light on our questions!

For the Sky Sports + bonus stream
you must have the complete Sky Sports package, therefore to get the bonus streams you have to upgrade from the single Sky sports pack to the complete Sky sports pack.

Thank you - though the situation does make me angry. It's the way Sky repeatedly and without notice suddenly deprives you of a service they had previously provided free with your subscription and makes what may be for many the most useful/desirable aspect a separate, more expensive, facility. Since when has there been a difference between the ordinary Sky sports package and the 'complete' one, which I had never heard of - is it another new introduction? Grrrrr.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@thumbelina sky has been quite clear in press releases and media marketing that a subscription to the full sports pack would be required and a single sport channel subscription would need to upgrade to receive the full service
if you are a single channel subscriber, you should have received an email explaining the change, I also believe the email contained details of an upgrade offer

Perhaps I didn't make it clear enough in my original post that I do in fact have the Sports package; I only wanted the tennis channel but I would have had to pay as much for that as for the whole package, so as I do sometimes enjoy watching other sports I took the package.
After much delving around with help for Mr Google I finally discovered that Channel 412 gives access to sports streaming for those with the sports package, so my own problem is now resolved. So thanks for your post anyway, but it's the original poster - John, I think - who's the one who only has Sky Tennis. Best wishes.

I spoke to Sky yesterday (making sure my wallet was secure...) and as others have said to get Sky plus sports one needs full sports package so I upgraded, staying out of contract was about an extra 8 a month.
I also finally got round to ordering an upgrade to Q which I had resisted as I didn't want to lose all my recordings.
What I don't know..When I get my Q box can I record sky plus? With the US open starting next week that will be very useful.
