I'm still having the same issue today. I'll be requesting a full refund for the 2 races so far - ruined experience.

Considering Sky have the monolopy on F1 in the UK and rhe amount they they charge us, their service should be exemplary

I've asked for compensation and they won't give it because it's just an extra , if you can see the channel they don't see anything wrong with not offering the other services

I got the same corrupt response, apparently the Sky Sports feature is provided free - they only care about money and not their customers.

The fact that the message displayed within the Sky Sports App is "Subscription Required, you need to be a Sky subscriber to view this content" surely shows that it's a feature we're paying to access!

 

Hopefully in the future, Sky loose the rights to F1

I have this exact same problem. Been a sky F1 subscriber for years and have a standalone F1 package. Up early for races and can't watch onboards and talkers through app. Is there any news on a fix? Pay a lot for this package and to have a huge part not working is really annoying

I'm also having the same issue. I have sky stream with the f1 package and it wasn't an issue last season but for some reason I now need a subscription...?!

The F1 package is the subscription, it's a technical fault with Sky Sports App

I've updated the app and still nothing! A lot of my friends have access to it so how come it's only selected few who can't I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling

I tried that last week, signed out and back in, deleted the app and reinstalled it... Still saying I need a subscription!

Same here yet all works fine on the TV so has to be a sky sports app problem...

Do you also have this message on Sky Go?

 

I ask because when I signed up for Sky Sports there was a problem where Sky Go and the Sky Sports app wasn't activating but when they fixed that problem both started working so it would be interesting to see if that problem has come around again.

I have exactly the same issue. 
no access to any of the live times, driver onboards via the sky sports app.

please help to resolve.

This has been flagged and noted and discussed this weekend in the closed area of the Sky Community.

That's something at least, hopefully they'll reimburse everyone who's missed out on the service we're paying for.. won't hold my breath
