Sky sports football on the sky sports app

I have Virgin Media but pay for the sky sports subscription. I can watch the channel Sky Sports Football on the tv but not on the Sky Sports app. 
I have competed all the verification checks, am logged in and can confirm all other channels within the app work fine. 
When I try access the Sky Sports Football channel, I get a large exclamation mark and a message stating "apologies, we can't load this page at the moment" 

 

this was happening last season too but I figured it was a temporary issue. Now the season has started again, I can't continue like this. 
can anyone help please.

@Lennon91  I assume you are signed in using your virgin media login credentials 

 

as you are a virgin media paying customer it's not sky's responsibility to fix it's a virgin media account issue that only virgin can fix

Yeah I'm logged in via my virgin media credentials but it's the Sky app. The virgin media credentials simply prove I've paid the subscription.

 


I'm trying to watch a Sky channel on the Sky sports app. 
All other channels within the app work fine (main event, F1 etc..)  apart from one. There is no way virgin media can rectify an issue within the Sky Sports app.

As stated above by @SKY1992bf as we are Sky customers on here we can not help but a quick search that someone else has had the same issue as you as you can see here on their forums.

Please, you need to look past the fact I am a virgin media customer as this is irrelevant. The issue you tagged there are people unable to log in to the Sky app using their virgin media. This is not my issue. 

My (and other people's issue) is one specific sky channel on the sky sports app not working. 
There are many other people on X, including Sky specific customers, who are having an issue with Sky Sports football not working on their mobile app. 
Regarless who they pay their bill to.
There is a technical issue with the app we need help with. 
Please.

Just to clarify further: 

I can open the Sky Sports app, log in (via virgin media) and watch all channels INCLUDING Sky Sports Football on my iPhone. 

I follow the same process, with the same login on my iPad and all channels work fine EXCLUDING Sky Sports Football. 

There is a problem specifically with Sky Sports Football on the iPad version of the Sky Sports app. 
Please, PLEASE can someone help with this issue?
