The Sky app is not working.
When I open the app I get
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access
"http://agg.oogway.sky.com/AK_PM_VPATH0/856922/288_Error_html" on this server.

Same thing happened to me - disabling a perfectly good security measure (vpn) just because Sky can't track you is NOT GOING TO BE A OPTION (caps intentional).
My banks are happy with the vpn so Sky should be as well.

The reason that Sky can't work with a VPN is that Sky need to know your geographical location, as the content they provide in the UK, due to licensing restrictions, can only be used/streamed from a UK based location.

i have the same problem and am not using a vpn with the cost of sky now and things not working half the time i am seriously considering canceling

What things not working half the time? What have you done about it? You can cancel by calling to give the required notice (unless you're in contract with a TV subscription when you can't camcel).
