Sky VIP how are the prize winners picked?

The reason I ask and it maybe I'm a sore loser!!! But I have taken part in the prize draws for the last 3 years and not won a single thing. I have a friend who has only been with sky via their gran's account and the first time entering and wins a prize

how's that work? Just curious how the system decides the winners 

is it based on how long you have been with Sky as a customer or how much you spend as a customer that gives you more of a chance of winning?

Random. Luck of the draw. Bear in mind Sky has millions of customers and relatively few giveaways, so the chances of winning anything are pretty small.

Competition watchdogs would be all over Sky if there was anything untoward going on. The longer you've been with Sky (a higher VIP status) allows you 2-3 more entries.

I got sky through a family referral and I'm only in the first tier but my family is in the diamond tier after 20 + years . 
move hd sky about a year and only recently about 2 or 3 months ago started entering the prize draws and have hd a few things . I got tickets to Gwen steffani at Warwick castle - epic ! (Especially as a lot of her uk your was cancelled) 

uk bboy championships in London. Cinema tickets . Seniors open golf though we cancelled these as couldn't make it . Open air cinema tickets for Clapham Common to watch the Goonies this weekend. 

Don't give up , keep trying ... I really think it is luck of the draw ! some are first come first serve rather than ballot so try and catch them quickly. I check my sky vip daily for new prizes.

I just won 2 tickets to Newbury races. I've only been entering the competitions for about a month. I think consistency is the key. Make a regular habit of checking the sky app for giveaways.
