I've just got a q box fitted and when I try to send a record request to the box is says its been sent but it fails to record, how do I get it to do this?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAre you new to Sky or did you upgrade from Sky+ to the Sky Q one, the reason I ask is if you did upgrade you would have got a new viewing card so the requests might be going to the wrong one.

Upgraded from sky + and yeah i got a new veiwing card. How do i check?

Find out moreFor now you can check via the Sky+ app (as it will also affect the Sky Go app) so you would need to install this on your mobile or tablet, then go to settings and make sure the correct card is selected against remote record and remote download.

The Sky + app is mo longer available in play store as they've discontinued it.

MySky app - Manage Account > TV > TV Settings > Activate.
