Refer a friend issues

I have recommended sky to my next door neighbour however, when I go online to try and complete the refer a friend promotion all I get is a loading screen- can't do it via the app or TV, the page won't load, 

I would have thought that sky would be keen to get the extra business OR is just that sky doesn't want to pay the £75-£100 for actually referring a new customer? 
I see from the discussions that I am not the only one having an issue with this

I can't see from your link but are you using the correct link as this did change a little while ago:

Yeah, using the correct link as above, have tried on mobile, desktop, via my sky box, still end up on a loading screen 

The page simply doesn't load and it appears that I am not the only person to have experienced this

Im getting the sand issue when trying to refer someone.. did you manage to get it working

Exact same issue. Want to refer my mum and dad but webpage just won't load on either mobile or desktop. 

If anybody has found a work around please shout up.

Same here. Joined Sky yesterday. Have the family queing up to join. But no, four hours over two days of pageds not loading. Verry frustrating.

I managed to get through to someone at Sky customer services eventually- apparently the problem is caused by having an @sky.com email address on your account- I changed it to an outlook email address and it THEN generated the referral code. Hope this helps someone

I'm having the same issue right now. I'm trying to refer a friend but it is not working and I've got an @@gmail.com. Should o change my email address ?
