Hello
Even though the sky + app is no longer supported I have been regularly using it to schedule recording of TV programmes via the app on my iOS phone. About a week ago the programme guide was no longer displayed on the app and I am shown the following message
"data currently available please try later"
has anyone experienced the same issue and if possible is there some way to fix this?
thanks

There will be no fix

@Annie+UK they said it would still be usable as it is and you could still download it from the app stores if it was in your purchase history I personally thibk dky still should supply the programme data even if future development has unfortunately stopped

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI believe they said it would no longer be supported and over time things would likely break. Sky don't support Sky + anymore so as some of the legacy services are switched off I'm not surprised parts of the Sky + app would stop functioning as they used to.
This should be expected for unsupported legacy services.

They said you could use the app whilst it functions, there was no timescale of how long you could use it
I'm guessing the TV Guide data has changed enough to stop being compatible with older unsupported apps
It's a pain as the replacement app does not have the same functionality but they gave us the heads up and the removal of the app from the stores was its kiss of death 😞 at least we got over 6 months of extra use from the app

Does your device have a web browser? https://www.sky.com/tv-guide/

true but then you have to keep on changing the categories etc but its better than nothing will have to start using that I suppose I was hoping the issue with the programme guide on the sky+ app was a temporary glitch but seems not because my sky+ programme guide on my box glitched the other week but it fixed its self so didnt know if it was the same kind of thing unfortunately doesnt look like it

Hi I'm not a techie but an elderly lady. I've found this works to select a program I want to watch on tv but don't want to get up to do so.
I go to Sky Go tv guide, select program, select record once. Go back to Sky+, into ALL recorded programmes, locate the program currently being record. Click on. Select watch from start.
Once on tv screen go back and cancel recording. Then watch complete show on tv.
Hope this helpful to other Luddite's out there.
Regards

I suspect this is as a result of the removal of the BBC SD channels from the epg.

yes its the same for me.
this is a huge loss and takes away the main reason we kept Sky.
Thinking of leaving now.

It was the only decent thing to come out of SKY and they drop it. And they wonder why people are flocking to the freebie-sticks!!
