You can only use Sky abroad for a month before the app has to be connected again to the network in Ireland.

Find out moreYou are only allowed a limited time, as mention in the post above, to watch Sky Go when you are out of the country for things like holidays, business trips etc.. 1 month is rather generous imo and any longer would be abnormal for the activities mentioned
If you are living abroad for extended lengths of time then this is not a use case for Sky Go and would breach Sky's T&Cs

Thank you, but they should change that condition as thousands of Sky customers are out of their home countr for lengthy periods.

'Lengthy periods' are not covered by European regulation 2017/1128 on portability of online content services which is what makes use outside the country where the account is based possible at all.
" The portability regulation covers situations in which subscribers are temporarily abroad. This term is not defined in the Regulation. However, what is meant by this is to be present in a Member State other than the Member State of residence. It covers various scenarios including holidays and business trips. "
