I also have the same issue. My Sky is working on iPhone but not IPad. I have tried deleting the app and reloading but still doesn't work. I'm on OS 17.7.10 and it's a 6th generation IPad

Don't think anyone is interested!

I've given up and deleted this useless app.

I supplied SKY with all the details, and even sent screen shots, but they seem unable to fix, or do'nt want to accept they have any problem!

Yea have rebooted after deleting, MAKES NOT THE SLIGHTEST DIFFERENCE!

Same problem here. Not working on either of 2 IPads and 2 IPhones! Tried all the recommended delete, reboot and reload processes and still the same. Trying to get Vue cinema vouchers that come with Sky Cinema and the only way is through the app! Ridiculous!

Thank you so much, I have just loaded MySky app to my iPhone and it works there !!!!. 
The buffering problem on my iPad is therefore definitely due to a technical fault with Sky's iPad app.

Thank you Kilbanesteve, your post solves my problem with being unable to get access to VIP rewards via the MySky iPad app.  Having now loaded the app to my iPhone, I have full functionality on my iPhone as an alternative.

Had a customer satisfaction survey email about how well they dealt with the issue  😂🤣. You can probably guess what rating they got. I fully expect the same level of response/action as I got for the issue...NO RESPONSE

Sky have just released update 10:6:0
It's still buffering on my two iPads so for me the saga continues.

What about you anybody had any luck?

Yes still buffering the sky experts obviously are not so expert.

I put a complaint in and was told to delete app, reinstall and make sue ipad software up to date. Like I have not done this 100 times. Complaint marked closed as resolved.  Do they not see these chats

Same here.  At least it works on my android although every visit to Sainsbury's mean I have to use the customer help desk to get my freebies as it now seems impossible to self checkout.  Apparently Sky says the bar codes keeps fluctuating to stop anyone taking a photo - looks like that includes the scanner.  Fortunately the staff at my local store are incredibly helpful.

iPad required an update. I did not have enough space to download the update and I had to offload numerous apps inc 'My Sky'

updated overnight and reinstated all apps in the mormimg

 Eureka it now works.

What Apple IOS is your ipad please.  Can you also remember which apps you deleted as one of them could be causing the problem for the rest of us.  I have 2 ipads and the latest Sky update does not fix the buffering, hence the reason for asking the questions.

I raised the issue with Sky back in October 2025. 6th Gen ipad curently with 17.7.10 iOS
My iPad used to work, similar responses , do this do that, no joy (while it doesn't help I am pleased to hear others have the same issue, and it's not me)
After their latest release 10.6, did the same, no joy as expected (just a polar bear in a snow storm i.e buffer wheel) and then spoke to Support (again)

I was amazed when the support guy said AI tells me "might be a compatibility problem (17.7.10 or below) ...."
I questioned them on how Sky can point the customer (me) to accept what an AI engine has stated!
Furthermore, the Apple discussion thread quoted from AI directed me to a discssion in 2016 re Sky Go, lol

Sky, will probably not fix this. Using my knowledge as a former IT specialist, Sky would find it hard to test against physical machines running a particular version of iOS. They probably have guessed, it should work .... but it doesn't.

Sky must test or revise their minimum documented version of IOS, currently the documentation is not true.
Customers must be advised from Sky.com not from Google AI or any other guessing engine.

 

As a VIP I can't get my free offers for biscuits or pizza, which would be nice, especially after giving Sky so much money over the years.
However, they keep teasing me by sending me emails about the offers.
Watch this space but don't hold your breath
