My Sky app login problems on iOS

I cannot log in to the My Sky app on my iPhone to get my Sky VIP rewards. I can enter my email address and password, then it takes me to a postcode entry page, but when I enter my postcode and press 'Continue' the page is inactive and behind that is a screen saying "Your account is not authorised to use the My Sky App".

 

I can log in to my account online using Chrome on my laptop, but the Sky VIP section just refers me to the app. I have changed my password, deleted the app and reinstalled it, tried on 2 different mobile browsers, checked the iOS is up to date and left a space and no space in my postcode....but nothing.

 

This is SO frustrating. Please can someone at Sky resolve this for me?

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.


This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears:

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Thanks @caesarome - I subsequently saw another post on this subject about Primary vs. Secondary IDs, so I tried logging in with my wife's ID which I had always understood was our secondary one, and it works! So obviously that's the primary one and mine is the secondary one - no idea why Sky have done this but whatever. No need to chat to anyone else then thanks 🙂
