My Sky app account not authorised

I cannot log into my sky app anymore, it says account not authorised. 

I can log in online still, any ideas how to fix?

Hey all,

 

Thank you for your answers! 🙂
We've escalated the issue to the support team and they are investigating the problem. 

 

In the meantime you can use the sky.com website instead of the My Sky app as a workaround. Please let me know if the website is giving you the same error message.

 

I will let you know as soon as we have more updates about the case, than you for your patience!

My Sky App is saying my account is not authorised

randomly my sky app logged me out so I have tired to log back in multiple times but all I get is a message that says your account is not authorised to use this app. This has never happened before so not sure what to do.

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Tried logging into the sky app and recieve this message

 

"your account is not authorised to access the my sky app"

 

See a few posts but no fix for this

Are you logging in with your main primary Sky ID ?

the my sky app has stopped working, says not authorised to access the app.

Tried removing and reinstalling.

Can log in on the web.

Doesnt seem to be a fix but seems to be a common problem?

I was told mine wasn't working because I wasn't the main account holder. Even though I did my own phone contract as my mum has a sky box at the same address they put me under her so I have to call to break away from her side of thing in order to get access to the app again.
