Does 'My Sky App' have to be used only on a mobile phone? If I try it on a computer, I just go round in circles.

Anyone else have this issue?

The only way to install it on a computer is by running it via Nox or Bluestacks, never tried it myself as I have no need to. It can also be installed on an iPad.
