The Vue T&Cs say:

  • Voucher codes can be used to book VIP, 3D, IMAX or Gold Class subject to an additional upgrade fee. Customers will be charged for the purchase of 3D glasses if required.
  • Recliners are an upgrade at the following sites: Basildon, Bedford, Dublin, Staines, Star City, West End, and IMAX recliners at Manchester Printworks, Cheshire Oaks and Leeds Kirkstall. All other recliner sites are included without an additional fee.
  • Upgrade and additional fees are charged by and payable to Vue.

I booked vip tickets so that explains. I don't mind at all paying the £1 if the seats are more comfortable. Thank you for answering, i genuinely didn't know.

Only a few of the Vue cinemas do that add on, as linked above.

Still £1 for you is probably still worth it.

Enjoy the film.

I have booked my Vue tickets for a viewing of Gladiator II next week.

See the free Sky Showcase movie this weekend is the first Gladiator film.

See its also available to download now via the Sky Max channel.

Very wise to pay as little as possible for Gladiator 2... I saw a preview last week. It didn't get much love from the audience. A polite but very short & subdued round of applause at the end. Methinks Wicked will steamroll it at the box office and it'll be on streaming very soon.

Re: Free vue tickets still have to pay £1

It was a film I wasn't that bothered about watching. Only reason I am is the free tickets. Going into it with low expectations.

Re: Free vue tickets still have to pay £1

Your lucky we don't have a vue cinema anywhere near us, so not right so even if you paid a pound it's better than lots of us who don't have one so no tickets for us. It's a bit of a con offering knowing they done have many guess that's why they are free. If you could go to any cinema they wouldn't offer this

Tbh the vue nearest to me is horrid. Very unwelcoming and the seats are so uncomfortable. I don't bother going.
